EQUALITY SCHEME
Castlereagh Borough Council has prepared an Equality Scheme in order to promote equality of opportunity and good relations in carrying out its functions. The Council considers that the Scheme will provide the opportunity to further its commitment to promoting equality in all aspects of its work.
The Equality Scheme has been published and the Council would welcome comments from;-
· The general public
· Community groups
· Staff and their representatives
· Representative Groups and Organisations
The document has been revised since the draft originally circulated on 24 May 2000, in the light of feedback received through the public consultation process and detailed discussion with the Equality Commission.
