Castlereagh District Policing Partnership (DPP) is a partnership between

the Council and representatives of the local community.

The purpose of a DPP is to

·        Identify local policing issues.

·        Establish policing priorities for the local policing plan in conjunction with the District Commander.

·        Monitor police performance against the policing plan.

·        Develop a practical way of gaining the public’s co-operation in working with the police to prevent crime and protect the public .

·        Act as a general forum for discussion and consultation on matters affecting the policing of the district.

 

Benefits of the DPP:

     The DPP provides the community with a unique opportunity to shape local policing and to work with police in reducing and preventing crime and promoting community safety. This will be achieved through a series of public meetings, consultation forums and postal surveys.
