Castlereagh Hills Golf Club
Castlereagh Hills Golf Club offers Northern Ireland golfers an exciting golfing challenge at its superbly designed new 18-hole course.
Located on the Upper Braniel Road in the heart of the Castlereagh Hills, the course provides magnificent and idyllic views over Strangford Lough and County Down.
Visitors can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome and new members are encouraged to apply. Membership numbers are limited and each application will be considered by the club on a first come, first served basis.
The Course
Designed by number one course architect and former golf champion, David Jones, the course offers excellent all-weather playing conditions across 12 USGA sand based greens and tees. A rolling programme will ensure the remaining 6 holes will be upgraded in the next few years.
The course stretches appropriately 5,700 yards with a par of 67. Many spectacular holes can be played through dynamic water features, stone bridges and delightful parklands. Each hole has at least three sets of tees, so any player, male or female, whatever there ability, will be able to enjoy the course.

The 4th: a strategic, "risk versus reward" short par four where a decision has to be made to lay up short of a broad stream, or go for the heroic carry to shorten the second shot.
The 7th: ...which came out of nowhere following the discovery of an ancient "flax-hole". This was excavated into a lovely little lake with stone bridges transforming what might have been a very ordinary par four into a superb one.
The 8th: A tough uphill par four through the only band of mature trees on the site, to a well-protected and interestingly contoured green.
Overall this was a very rewarding project and I feel the result is more than anyone could have expected, and a course that members can be proud of.”
The Clubhouse
The new clubhouse opened in June 2005, with a bright and contemporary feel; it offers breathtaking and tranquil views over the golf course. Visitors can relax after a round of golf in the licensed restaurant or on a summer’s day sit back and watch the sun go down from the stylish terrace.
The restaurant offers a range of mouth-watering menus to tempt you into the clubhouse. Choose from the lunchtime bistro or exquisite fine dining menu in the evening.
Several meeting and conference rooms are available for private parties, societies, functions and receptions.
