Nominate a Volunteer
Castlereagh Borough Council in partnership with Volunteer Now has launched a search for a local star as they open nominations for the Mayor’s first ever Volunteer Awards, which will be held as part of a prestigious ceremony later in the year.
The aim of the awards is to formally recognise the valuable contribution and time commitment of volunteers across Castlereagh and celebrate their dedication and service to helping others within their community.
The Mayor of Castlereagh, Alderman Michael Henderson MBE is delighted to be hosting such a well-deserved event. He said, “I am extremely proud to be a part of this awards ceremony and I am overwhelmed by the amount of volunteers within Castlereagh who are giving up their time and effort to improve the lives of others. I look forward to meeting many of these volunteers at the ceremony to thank them for their valuable contribution to the Borough.”
The Chief Executive Officer with Volunteer Now, Wendy Osborne OBE added, “Volunteer Now supports the promotion of the Mayor’s Awards for Volunteering in Castlereagh as it recognises the huge difference that individuals and groups make to local communities and the environment when they come together in a voluntary capacity.”
