‘Dancing On Ice’ Star Skates at Dundonald International Ice Bowl!

‘Dancing on Ice’ star, Maria Filippov will be getting her skates on at Dundonald International Ice Bowl this Easter when she invites fans to take to the ice for an unforgettable skating session on Thursday 5th April

Maria, who has been a ‘Dancing on Ice’ favourite since the show began, was partnered this year with Andy Akinwolere and won the popular TV show in 2009 with X Factor’s Ray Quinn. Fans will have the opportunity to meet and skate alongside the star during a once in a lifetime skating session.

The Mayor of Castlereagh, Councillor Jim White is delighted to welcome Maria to the facility. He said, “With the ever growing problem of obesity related health conditions, it is vital we provide as many opportunities to encourage people to engage in physical activity. Ice skating is a fantastic sport which can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities, and I hope the skating sessions with Maria will inspire many more people to get active, whether they are looking to take up a new hobby, get fit or work towards an ice skating qualification.”

During a session, participants will have the opportunity to bring their own camera and have their photo taken with Maria, ask for personalised autograph and even chat to the star about her experiences on the show! Each session costs £15 and consists of 30 minutes skating and 15 minutes off the ice to get up close and personal with Maria.
