The Robinson Centre Reopens
Following a short period of temporary closure, the Robinson Centre will re-open to the public on Tuesday 24th February 2015, with the exception of the swimming pools which will reopen at a later date.
The centre was closed last week as a precautionary step to allow unrestricted access to a survey company to carry out a number of tests, which were deemed necessary from an initial Building Management Survey. The results of the tests have now been received by the Council and all tests have come back clear.
Limited areas of the centre will reopen as normal on Tuesday 24th February 2015 with the exception of the swimming pools. These areas will remain closed as a precautionary measure until further notice to enable essential maintenance to be carried out.
The Council apologises for the disruption to services at the centre; but the safety of users and staff is of paramount importance.
Further updates on the opening of the swimming pools will be posted on the Council website. Any customer queries in relation to bookings or classes should be directed to the Robinson Centre on 028 9070 3948 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
From 1st April 2015, the Robinson Centre along with a number of other facilities will transfer to Belfast City Council. Belfast City Council has undertaken a programme of change with regard to its leisure provision and has engaged Greenwich Leisure to operate its leisure facilities in order to provide a more efficient and cost effective service to its rate payers.
There will be little or no disruption to the services that are currently provided although it is inevitable there may be some change.
The Centre Management will endeavour to keep you informed at all stages to make the transition to Belfast City Council/Greenwich Leisure as seamless as possible.
