Castlereagh Arts


Arts Grants and Bursaries

Castlereagh Arts runs a community arts grant scheme to assist local groups with arts projects. The maximum award is £200. Up to 15 projects are funded each year. Applications will only be accepted from constituted groups and eligible projects are awarded grants.  The application process is currently closed, but may re-open later in the year, dependent on the number of applications in the first phase.

Basic Criteria is as follows:

(The project must address at least 3 of the following objectives)

-To promote and encourage artistic development, skills and/or the knowledge of the community.

-To encourage active participation in one or more artistic field.

-To promote the respect and awareness of cultural diversity through the arts.

-To provide a measurable outcome of the existence/success of the project. e.g.: performance, piece of art work, increase in artistic knowledge/skills.

Detailed criteria and application forms are available from the Arts Officer and groups can ask their area development worker or Arts Officer for advice on filling in the form.

Strict financial controls are in place and all receipts for relevant expenditure must be provided or grants can be withdrawn.

Bursaries

Bursaries are offered once a year, to the Tyrone Guthrie Centre and to the John Hewitt society: Page attached.
